I know this couple they been married for 50 years i ask them what has made your relationship last as long as did has and he said got you to have good communication with each other, have a strong foundation, got to explore find and try new things to do with each other, listen to each other feelings he said find new ways to deal with conflict. 

 I also asked his wife the same thing she also said what he said she added marry your best friend. she said to listen to every thing that the other person have to say. also focus on one thing when talking. agree to disagree.
